First, I want to say thank you to all of you that made this year's Christmas outreach to Haiti a success! We couldn't have done it without your help.
There were several obstacles that presented themselves in Haiti as we prepared for the children's outreach, but God is faithful and He made the way - and made it prosperous.
During the service, we taught the children a song from Superkid Academy at EMIC. It got them out of their seats and involved. Some were hesitant, but as we continued, more joined in and had a lot of fun. We wanted them to know that God is fun!
After a time of praise & worship, we taught them about the "prize" and "greatest gift" of all from Matthew 13:44 & John 3:16-17. They seemed quite attentive and receptive. I even attempted my first partial sermon in Creole (their native language). Pastor Jometre helped when I would get stuck and even translated my Creole into English part of the time. It was awesome!
As the children exited the church after the service, we gave each one of them a bag filled with toys/dolls, toothbrush & toothepaste and candy. We also gave each one of them a sandwich and Tampico (like sunny delight).
We have lots of pictures and some video we will be posting soon.
Thank you, again. You truly showed the love of God to what has been considered a lost and dying world. BUT, with God's help it is turning around for HIM!
Blessings to you all!!!
