Much has happened in the last year but not as much as what one would imagine.  Over 1 Billion dollars has reportedly been donated into the government of Haiti to help them rebuild their land, but most of it has not gone any further than that. 

Last update says there are more than a million orphans living in Haiti. Approximately 400,000 of them just became orphaned after the tragedy.  Also, many of them are now maimed or handicapped.  About 2/3 of them live on the streets with no one to take care of them. 

This is one area where GFMI has been able to help. We have sent tents, shelters, clothes, shoes and other necessity items over.  We have also been a vital part of a couple feeding programs targeting neighborhood children and homeless families. 

Because of your generosity, we have been able to touch hundreds of children and families that otherwise may have had no assistance.  Sometimes this is the difference between life and death.  Your gifts are valuable to us and to the people of Haiti. 

You will never know what a difference you have made.  

And, we are committed to making a difference in Haiti for the long haul.  We were there years before the earthquake, and we will be there for years to come.
